Level 25: Jeff Kurtenacker (WildStar)_POTW Kevin Vitz Wong

Hello, fellow video game music lovers!
Today’s show features composer Jeff Kurtenaker talking about his music for WildStar. The majority of the eleven hours of music he wrote is for a 75-piece orchestra (and more), so crank it up!There’s a Google Hang coming up too! Saturday, June 25th at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. Composers Jason Graves (Far Cry Primal, Tomb Raider 2013, Dead Space), Lennie Moore (Dota 2, CS: GO, Outcast, Star Wars: The Old Republic), and Austin Wintory (Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Banner Saga 1 & 2, Journey) are the guests. For the first 30 minutes, I’ll ask them questions. For the final 30, they’re all yours. Mark your calendars! Google Hangs are available to Patrons only for as little as $1 a month.
Sam & I are trying to raise money to go to PAX West so I can moderate a panel similar to the panels I’ve hosted in the past. We set up a GoFundMe page, and Jason Graves and Dren McDonald have offered some incredible rewards to those who are able to help us reach the goal. Learn more here!
Our Patron of the Week is Kevin Vitz-Wong, who introduced me to some tunes I didn’t know and a couple I dearly love. Here’s his list; we talked about the first two:

1. “Footprint” from NeoTokyo by Ed Harrison (aka 0edit)2. “Arctic Oscillation” from Risk of Rain by Chris Christodolou

3. “Mechanism” from NeoTokyo by Ed Harrison

4. “Dragon’s Teeth” from Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries by Jeehun Hwang

5. “Marco Polo” from Uncharted 2 by Greg Edmonson
